Meet Your Doctor
Dr. Paul Bures, D.O.
Primary care and Family Medicine
Dr. Paul Bures was born in Ohio and lived most of his life in Cleveland. He is a board-certified Family Medicine physician with more than 10 years of experience.
He earned his undergraduate degree at Ohio State University before going on to earn his doctorate at LECOM Bradenton in 2008. He then completed his Family Medicine Internship at Navy Hospital Jacksonville and served as Battalion Surgeon with 1st Battalion 2nd Marines. He then completed his Family Medicine Residency with University Hospitals Regional Hospitals and returned to the Military to serve again as Battalion Surgeon with 1st Battalion 2nd Marines, and later Regimental Surgeon of 2nd Marine Regiment.
After spending the past nine years as a family medicine physician with University Hospitals Independence Family Practice, Dr. Bures decided to transition to a more typical medical practice where the majority of his focus would be on the care of his patients. Dedication to patient centered care is his medical passion.
Dr. Bures has become increasing frustrated with the state of large medical institutions over the past several years. He believes in practicing true evidence based medicine and is completely against the infiltration of political opinion in the medical decision making process. He is against any type mandate in the field of medicine. He believes that true patient care starts by mutual decisions made between a patient and doctor.
